May + June tour on sale (plus some podcast recommendations)

I’m excited to be going back out on tour in May + June.

This time it’s a double bill with Australian singer-songwriter Jack Carty. I can’t wait to play songs old and new for you.

It’s been a while since I toured, because I needed some time out to think + write + just take stock a bit. But I’ve missed playing live and getting around the country sharing the music with you guys. So I’m already looking forward to this. If you’ve got anything in particular you’d like to hear, drop me a message on Facebook or Twitter and I’ll try my best to fit it in for you.

Dates are

16th May: Philharmonic Music Room, Liverpool
2nd June: Stables 2, Milton Keynes
5th June: The Islington, London
6th June: Chapel Arts, Bath
7th June: Kitchen Garden Cafe, Birmingham
11th June: Junction 2, Cambridge
12th June: Henry Tudor House, Shrewsbury
13th June: Greystones, Sheffield
14th June: The Cedar Room, Manchester
15th June: Old Cinema Launderette, Durham
16th June: St Cuthbert’s House, Northumberland

I’ll also be playing at How The Light Gets in Festival on May 24th

And Henley Festival on July 13th

See you somewhere <3

I’ve been walking around London and listening to podcasts lately. I know I’m always on the look out for recommendations, so thought I’d give you some idea of what I’ve been enjoying:

Song Exploder (so many good episodes)

Sodajerker on Songwriting (Joan Armatrading and Rufus Wainwright were particular favourite episodes of mine)

The Start (The Guardian)

Made of Human with Sofie Hagen

The Adam Buxton Podcast (the Greta Gerwig episode is great)

The Butterfly Effect with Jon Ronson

Switched on Pop

(tweet me yours?)

Oh yeah, and Happy Easter…
